The Centre Technique du Papier is an Industrial Technical Centre, i.e. a French state-approved company whose strategic missions are:

PROMOTING THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE PRODUCTION AND CONVERTING INDUSTRY of Pulp, Paper and Board, in order to improve:

  • Its high-performances,
  • Its productivity, its competitiveness,
  • In the due respect of the sustainable development requirements.

MAKING PROGRESS IN KNOWLEDGE OF SCIENCES AND TECHNOLOGIES:

  • Innovating and transferring know-how to the industry,
  • Meeting market’s needs and expectations,

CTP

THE CTP, PROJECTS AT THE SERVICE OF INNOVATION…

  • Its scientific council defines orientations, scientific forecasting and the major vital challenges of tomorrow. It is composed of representatives from the University and from public research bodies who guarantee the scientific and technical quality of the General Research Programme (GRP).
     
  • Its Programme Committee gives enlightened views on the General Research Programme.
    It is composed of representatives from the Pulp, Paper and Board industry.
     
  • High-performance tools at the service of customers:
    - Strategic and statutory technological monitoring; standardisation.
    - Project engineering attitude: from idea to research, monitored with a specific application software,
    - Real-time dialogue with our customers using a “showcase” tool, the Internet website and a confidential tool: the Extranet website.
